I am curious about people, what has shaped them and how they arrived where they are today. I believe we all make sense of ourselves, other people and the world in ways that once helped us survive or belong. Together we'll gently explore this, understand where they came from and consider whether they still serve you today.
Page Two is about getting past the cover and into the content, it’s understanding there is more than the headline or the external visual presentation, page two means we’ve already started - you’ve already started.

The boundaries aren't always sharp and I’m sure Chat GPT and google will give you a view on this! However, from my perspective, counselling tends to be related to a specific experience with a view to helping you understand and come to terms with it. Coaching tends to be related to a specific, future-focused behavioural change or goal. Psychotherapy tends to be deeper, longer term work that helps you make sense of yourself more fully.
That said, for me, they are all related to change, whether that’s in awareness, behaviour or choice and I work across all three modalities in sessions depending on what you’re looking to achieve.
If you’re not sure what’s best for you please get in touch and we can discuss this.

Transactional Analysis (TA) is a psychological theory of personality. It was originally developed by the psychiatrist Eric Berne in the 1950s. It includes straight forward and relatable models and concepts which can help people understand how they think, feel, communicate and relate to others by examining recurring patterns in interactions (the "transactions"). It’s often used in training and personal development with many of its ideas making their way into everyday language.

That’s a question only you can answer and probably not until you’ve started. With this in mind my work with you will be open ended with regular reviews to ensure it’s still helpful and that you’re getting value from it.

Therapy doesn’t tend to be easy work, and there may be times you become aware of things that are difficult to face. However I work carefully and sensitively to go at a pace that feels right for you. I will hold up a mirror, but I’ll also be there with a ladder to help you climb the next steps and bring some fun to the sessions.

If you’ve had therapy before that’s OK. I think it’s important to try different therapists as we all offer something different - so much of therapy is about your relationship with your therapist.
If we work together it’s helpful for me to understand from your previous experiences in therapy what helped and what didn’t and we can talk about this when we meet.
